What We Do

Digital technologies and social media are transforming every area of modern life. At CTE, we are especially interested in how they are transforming teaching and learning. More and more people are now using new technologies to learn by self-discovery, collaboration with peers and immersion into virtual worlds and gaming simulations. CTE is participating in this transformation by building new tools for teachers and students, researching new technologies and data management systems and by developing learning strategies that specifically incorporate the new technologies, not as an add-on, but as an integral part of teaching and learning. And everything we do is deeply rooted in our shared belief that each and every child can learn and achieve at a high level.

  • Build innovative tools to enhance teachers’ instructional delivery, productivity and decision-making.
  • Use new technologies to create productivity tools and a full range of online resources in combination with evidence-based instruction practices to optimize instruction and advance learning among all students.
  • Utilize personalized learning tools, including assistive technology, to help differentiate instruction and address the specific learning needs of all students.
  • Build virtual learning environments to help students engage in learning and develop content knowledge and skills.

Facilitate vibrant online professional learning communities and personalized professional development
